The Scottish Beat Officer's Companion is a quick reference book for police officers in Scotland. The diagrammatic and pictorial format provides easy-to-read and understandable interpretations of those aspects of legislation likely to be of practical value to the patrolling officer.

This edition has been completely revised to reflect recent changes in the law.

The book is presented in a format similar to the Beat Officer's Companion, written by former Warwickshire superintendent,
Gordon Wilson. Where appropriate, material from the
Beat Officer's Companion has been used or adopted for the
purposes of Scots Law.

The 5th edition was published on 27 April 2009. The next edition is due out in April 2010.
