New Handbook for First Responders from Jane's Information Group
To help inform U.S. first responders about the growing range of terrorist weapons, Jane's Information Group has produced Jane's Unconventional Weapons Response Handbook, a complement to their successful Chem-Bio Handbook. Jim Tinsley, Jane's Information Group's content developer, states that the comprehensive handbook will help prepare first responders in unconventional situations to react efficiently and safely.
The comprehensive handbook's weapons categories include explosives such as letter, pipe and vehicle bombs; military weapons such as grenades and rocket launchers; nuclear weapons; directed energy weapons such as lasers; and non-lethal weapons. Each category includes information on how the weapons are used and how to respond to their deployment in an attack.
